Job Title: General Production Operator
Type: Full time
Location: Wrexham
Pay Rate: £26.000-27.000 
Hours of Work: Monday - Friday 0800-1700

Our client based in Wrexham is looking to add a general operative to their small and friendly team. This position is being offered as a Full-time position.

General production Operators are essential team members who contribute to the overall success of the production facility. Their role is hands-on, requiring a combination of technical skills, attention to detail, and a passion for the production process.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Production Assistance: Assist in all stages of the production process, including preparation, processing, and packaging. Follow standard operating procedures to ensure product quality and consistency.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate and maintain production equipment, such as mixers, pumps, and packaging machinery. Perform routine cleaning and sanitation of equipment and production areas.
  • Ingredient Handling: Measure and handle raw materials, including various grains, additives, and ingredients. Accurately weigh and mix ingredients according to recipes.
  • Quality Control: Monitor and control parameters during the production process to ensure product quality. Perform routine quality checks, such as pH measurements, weight checks, and sensory evaluations.
  • Safety and Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment. Follow industry regulations and compliance standards for food production.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of production activities, inventory records, and quality control documentation.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other staff, including operators, technicians, and packaging teams, to ensure smooth production flow.
  • Problem Solving: Identify and troubleshoot issues that may arise during the production process, taking corrective actions as needed.
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Clean and sanitise equipment and production areas regularly. Perform routine maintenance tasks on equipment.
  • Physical Requirements: Lift and move heavy materials, containers, and equipment. Work in varying temperatures and conditions.
  • Forklift Operation: Operate a counterbalance forklift to check records and move stock (training can be provided).
Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in a production environment preferred.
  • Knowledge of basic production principles with relevant qualifications preferred.
  • Ability to follow standard operating procedures with strong attention to detail.
  • Physical fitness and the ability to perform manual labour.
