Automation Machinist

Location: Wrexham
Pay Rate: £27,000 PA
Shift: Mon Fri, 08:00 - 17:15
Hours: Full- time
Contract: Permanent 

An exciting opportunity has arisen for Automation Machinist to join company based in Wrexham. As an automation machinist, you will be a key member of the Automation team, being involved in the production of parts using various production techniques, that will be used in our automated production equipment.

ABOUT THE ROLE

  • Producing Drawing using Solid Edge CAD
  • Programming and running XYZ mills.
  • Second Op's of components
  • Turning Parts using Manual Lathe
  • Producing parts on Lazer cutter, 3D Printer
  • Assembly / Bench fitting of components and jigs
Responsibilities:
  • Understanding and interpreting engineering drawings
  • Program XYZ bed mill using XYZ Proto Trak software.
  • Produce machined component to be used on our in-house produced machines using various manufacturing techniques.
  • Performing 2nd Op's
  • Maintaining machine shop equipment through a TPM program
  • Assist in the final assembly of our automation machines.
  • Ensure the Health & safety and 5's of machine shop / assembly area.
ABOUT YOU

We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate a prominent level of skill in machining. This will include:
  • Completed Level 3 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing (Development competence - Machinery)
  • Previous work experience in a machine shop environment
  • Be able to carry out manual machining using a Mill and Lathe
  • Have practical and technical skills, including understanding of engineering drawings and principles.
  • Works well independently and within a team environment
  • You will need to be a proactive problem solver with an analytical approach. We want a team member who is dedicated and tenacious with an ability to quickly learn new concepts, take ownership of tasks and work to tight deadlines, whilst able to work well under pressure.
