Job Position: CNC Plate Saw Operator
Location: Ellesmere Port Industrial
Contract: Temporary to Permanent
Hours: Full Time Monday-Friday Rotating shift pattern: 6am-2pm, 2pm-10pm, 10pm-6am
Hourly Rate: £13.50 per hour for 6am-2pm, 2pm-10pm ; £14.50 per hour for 10pm-6am

The ideal candidate will have experience in setting up and operating CNC machines and must hold an FLT (Counterbalance) license.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (not limited to)
- Booking and picking material
- Using the CNC plate saw machine and operating other industrial machinery.
- Fitting the right tools to active machines
- Performing correct set-up and calibration procedures for all equipment and accessories
- Setting tolerance levels and cutting speeds
- Translate the requirements of detailed part drawings into measurements for production
- Inspecting workflows to ensure that technical and quality standards are met
- Devising a work plan to efficiently carry out daily machining
- Manoeuvring forklifts safely in busy industrial environments
- Safely stacking and unstacking large quantities of goods onto shelves or pallets
- Moving goods from storage areas to loading areas for transport
- Maths skills, including geometry and trigonometry
- Mechanical engineering
- Production-machinery maintenance
- Metalworking and machine tooling
- Application of ISO quality standards
- FLT Counterbalance license
- Ability to work well in a team with other staff
