Are you ready to step into a pivotal role as a Production Shift Manager at our client's esteemed facility?

Position Overview:

As a Production Shift Lead, you will be instrumental in advancing production efficiency, upholding strict adherence to safety and quality standards, and guiding a committed team of technicians, process setters, and operators towards achieving peak performance targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive production to optimize efficiency, minimize costs safely, and maintain defined quality standards.
  • Ensure thorough training of team members for assigned tasks.
  • Oversee process documentation and sign-off completion.
  • Lead and manage a team to achieve set targets.
  • Utilize live machine monitoring to proactively address downtime, quality issues, and minimize scrap.
  • Assist in staffing level planning and holiday scheduling.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Engineering, Quality, and H&S to enhance production efficiency.
  • Align operations with the production plan and prioritize tasks accordingly.
  • Efficiently utilize equipment, energy, labor, and raw materials.
  • Strive for continuous improvement in Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
  • Ensure strict compliance with Health & Safety policies, promoting safe working practices and maintaining a high standard of housekeeping.
Skills and Experience:
  • Comprehensive understanding of Manufacturing
  • Demonstrated aptitude for making informed decisions to improve output and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
  • Established track record in effectively managing safety and maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Exceptional leadership abilities, particularly in people management, coaching, and team development.
  • Outstanding organizational skills, ensuring smooth operations and optimal productivity.
  • Proficient in various IT skills, including email communication, Excel, Word, and labor planning tools.
